Grok in, PDF out.
Grok has no document export, and printing the chat gives you the interface, not the document. Paste the answer here and download clean pages with the equations rendered. Free, in your browser, no signup.
Nothing uploads. The PDF is built in your browser; the next page shows the exact pages first.

Use the copy button under the Grok reply, not select-all. It hands over the answer as Markdown, with headings, tables, code, and equations intact. On X, open the reply in Grok's own view first so the copy button is there.
The preview is the PDF: A4 or Letter pages, page breaks already placed, code highlighted, math rendered. Fix anything before you download.
Generated entirely in your browser in a few seconds. The pages are rendered as images with a selectable, searchable text layer (Latin script); a cover page, contents list, or page numbers are one switch away.
What ends up on the page
| In the answer | In the PDF |
|---|---|
| Headings and paragraphs | A readable serif on a proper scale; a heading never strands alone at the bottom of a page. |
| Tables | Ruled tables with the alignment Grok specified, shrunk to fit the page when wide. |
| Code blocks | Monospace blocks with syntax colours, long lines wrapped. |
| Equations | Rendered mathematics, crisp at any zoom — Grok's $…$, \(…\), and bare-parenthesis LaTeX are all understood. |
| Bullet and numbered lists | Real lists with nesting preserved. |
| Long answers | Page cuts are verified against the rendered pixels, so a line of text is never sliced in half. |
Common questions
Can Grok make a PDF?
No. Grok writes text; neither grok.com nor Grok inside X has a PDF or Word export, and asking it for a file gives you a description of one. The way to a PDF is to copy the answer with its copy button, paste it here, and download: the answer is laid out as a document on real pages, with the equations and code rendered. Free, no account.
How do I save a Grok answer as a PDF?
Click the copy button at the bottom of the reply, paste into the box above, and click Convert to PDF. The converter opens with the exact pages rendered; download when it looks right. For several answers, paste them one after another into the editor — they become one document.
Does it work for Grok on X as well as grok.com?
Yes — what matters is the text you paste, not where Grok answered. On grok.com use the copy button under the reply. Inside X, open the reply in the Grok view, copy it, and paste; a reply copied from the timeline may lose its line breaks, in which case the preview shows one long paragraph and the fix is to copy from Grok's own view instead.
Do the equations come out right?
Yes. Grok writes formulas in LaTeX with several delimiter styles, including bare parentheses; all of them are recognised and rendered as mathematics in the PDF, not as a line of raw LaTeX. A formula that does not parse is shown in red in the preview so you can fix the source before exporting.
Does the answer leave my browser?
No. The paste stays on your machine and the PDF is generated in your browser — there is no upload. Only the Word export uses our server, and it keeps nothing.
Can I get Word instead?
Yes, from the same paste: switch the format to DOCX and every equation becomes editable Office Math, tables become real Word tables. The Grok to Word guide covers the Word side in detail.
