ChatGPT link in, PDF out.

Paste a ChatGPT share link and download the whole conversation as a clean A4 PDF — prompts, answers, tables, code, and rendered equations. Free, no signup.

The link must be public (ChatGPT → Share → Create link). Our server reads the page once to pull the text and keeps nothing.

Prefer Word? The same link works on the ChatGPT link to Word page →

Share the chat

In ChatGPT, open the conversation, click Share, then Create link. The link looks like chatgpt.com/share/… and works without an account.

Paste the link here

The whole conversation imports as Markdown and the converter opens with PDF pre-selected: A4 or Letter pages on the right, page breaks already placed.

Built in your browser in a few seconds. The title is the heading, your prompts sit in quoted blocks, every answer keeps its tables, code, and rendered equations. A cover page, contents list, or page numbers are one switch away.

What actually happens to the link

A ChatGPT share page is a public web page, and the conversation is inside it — the same text the page shows a visitor, carried in the page’s data so it can render without a login. When you paste the link, our server fetches that page once, reads the messages out of it in order, and sends them to your browser as Markdown: the title as a heading, each prompt quoted, each answer exactly as ChatGPT wrote it. Nothing is stored. From there the PDF is built in your browser: the Markdown is laid out on A4 or Letter pages, every equation is rendered, code is highlighted, and each page cut is checked against the rendered pixels before the file is written. The page’s hidden parts — system context, tool calls, the files you uploaded — are not on the shared page and are not in the PDF.

What you get, and what stays behind

In the shared chatIn your PDF
Conversation titleThe document's heading on the first page.
Your promptsQuoted blocks labelled You:, so the questions read as questions. Delete them in the editor for an answers-only PDF.
AnswersVerbatim — headings, bold, lists, ruled tables, highlighted code with long lines wrapped, and equations rendered as mathematics, crisp at any zoom.
Web-search citationsThe citation markers ChatGPT inserts after a search are removed; the answer text is unchanged.
Images ChatGPT generatedA placeholder where each image sat. Shared pages don't expose the image files.
Files you uploaded, hidden context, tool callsNot part of the shared page, so not in the PDF. Only the messages a visitor to the link can see.
Page breaksChecked against the rendered pixels: a heading never strands at the foot of a page and no line of text is sliced in half.

Common questions

How do I turn a ChatGPT link into a PDF?

Create a share link in ChatGPT (Share → Create link), paste it into the box at the top of this page, and click Import the conversation. The converter opens with the whole chat loaded and PDF pre-selected; the preview on the right is the PDF, page for page. Click Download PDF. Free, no signup, and the same for a conversation of three messages or three hundred.

Does it export the whole conversation or one answer?

The whole conversation, in order, as shown on the share page: each prompt as a quoted block labelled You:, each answer as normal text. For an answers-only PDF, delete the quoted blocks in the editor, or add &mode=answers to the converter link. For a single answer you don't need a link at all — the copy button under the reply and the ChatGPT to PDF page do it.

Why not print the shared page?

Printing a chatgpt.com page prints the web page: the header, the buttons, a dark background, and page breaks wherever the browser ran out of room, often between a heading and its first line. Wide tables lose columns and code is clipped at the edge. Here the conversation is laid out as a document — real pages, headings kept with their content, every page cut verified — and the text can be selected and searched.

Do equations, tables, and code survive?

Yes. ChatGPT writes mathematics as LaTeX and tables as Markdown, and both are in the shared page as written. Every formula is rendered in the PDF as mathematics, not as a line of raw code; tables keep ChatGPT's column alignment and shrink to fit when wide; code blocks keep their syntax colours with long lines wrapped. A formula that doesn't parse is shown in red in the preview so you can fix the source before exporting.

Can I get Word instead of PDF?

Yes, from the same link. Switch the format to DOCX and the equations arrive in Word as native, editable Office Math, tables as real Word tables, headings as Word heading styles. The ChatGPT link to Word page is the same import with Word pre-selected; HTML, EPUB, Excel for the tables, and a Google Docs handoff are there too.

Is it free, and what happens to my conversation?

Free, with no signup or quota. When you paste a share link, our server fetches that public page once, extracts the message text, sends it to your browser, and keeps nothing — no copy, no log of the content. The PDF itself is generated in your browser and never uploaded. Only the Word export uses our conversion service, for the equations.

The import says the page couldn't be read — what now?

Three causes cover almost every case: the link was deleted or made private in ChatGPT (create a new one), the link was copied incompletely (it needs the full chatgpt.com/share/… address), or ChatGPT put a bot check in front of the page for our server. In every case the fallback is the same: open the link in your browser, copy the conversation with the copy buttons, and paste it into the converter.
